Grilled Apples

Apples are even better when they’re grilled! All you need to do is slice them up, add some lemon juice and toss them on the grill for a healthy, tasty snack.

Source: U.S. Apple Association

Yields: 1 serving

  • 1 apple, any variety
  • Lemon juice

  1. Slice apple thickly and toss with a little lemon juice.
  2. Place the apple slices on the grate, turning them every couple of minutes, until marked and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. For a savory side, sprinkle the finished apples with salt and pepper. For dessert, toss the hot grilled apples in a bowl with maple syrup or honey, then serve over ice cream.

Tip: To prevent sticking, use tongs to dip a wadded piece of paper towel in canola oil and rub it on the grill grate.
