Meet The Ambassadors

Meet Robyn Lindars, a BBQ competitor, recipe developer, food personality and author

Robyn Lindars is the fire-obsessed foodie behind GrillGirl.com, a destination for original recipes, grilling tips, product reviews, and more. She’s also an accomplished BBQ competitor, recipe developer, food personality and author.

Robyn has been evangelizing grilling to women and outdoor cooking “noobs” since 2008. As a self-identified “pipsqueak,” she says “If I can do it, anyone can do it!” Her goal is to make the art of grilling approachable to new audiences by educating and inspiring those who find it intimidating or out of reach.

With her writing, videos, and media appearances, Robyn strives to empower people of all ages — especially women —  to pursue the art of cooking healthy flavorful dishes over fire.

Robyn started her “Women’s Grilling Clinics” as a way to show how much fun cooking outdoors can be, in an intimate, girl’s night out-style environment. By teaching how to not be intimidated by starting a grill (what many attendees say is a core reason they don’t grill), to being the go-to griller in their household and circle of friends.

Robyn recently launched the first season of her “Grill School” video series on YouTube as a way to bring her grilling classes to everyone. While there is a lot of online content about outdoor cooking, Robyn sees a need in teaching the fundamentals in an approachable way to bring new audiences into the grilling game.

Robyn is no stranger to the world of barbecue — it’s part of her heritage. She competes annually with her father Eddie at the Memphis in May World Championship BBQ Cooking Competition and at SCA events. Her television appearances have included grilling live on NBC’s “Today” show,  the Travel Channel’s “American Grilled,” and the Food Network’s “Chopped Grillmasters.” Robyn is also a monthly featured guest on The BBQ Central Show.

Robyn lives in Southwest Florida with her husband, a passionate outdoorsman, their young son, and two rescue dogs. She owns 11 grills and counting. This adventurous family recently moved from Miami to the woods of Punta Gorda.
