Why I Grill

“I have always enjoyed cooking from a young age, but it wasn't until I graduated college that I really became obsessed with grilling. I now look for all opportunities to use my grill and smoker. There is something so satisfying about using fire to feed your friends and family, and I’ve even found a way to use my passion for grilling to feed people in need.” – Stan Hays

Cheese Stuffed Burger


  • 1 lb. ground meat (beef, turkey, pork, lamb)
  • 4 slices hot pepper cheese
  • Garlic seasoning
  • 1 onion
  • 4 buns
  • Additional toppings of your choice: lettuce, tomato, fried egg, pickles, ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard


  • Make eight even and thin patties. Place the cheese in the middle of four of the patties.
  • Put the other patties on top and pinch the edges together. Shape the edges for a uniform patty.
  • Season the patties with garlic seasoning and pepper.
  • Saute or grill the onion and set aside.
  • Grill the bun. Note: Add a little butter to make it even better.
  • Place your burger on the bun, top with grilled onions and any additional toppings.
